“No Crisis” — Uba Sani Defends Uzodimma’s Leadership of APC Governors Forum

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has played down reports of a serious division within the Progressive Governors’ Forum, insisting that the misunderstanding among governors elected under the All Progressives Congress has already been resolved.

Speaking during an appearance on Politics Today on Channels Television, the governor described the issue as a minor disagreement that was blown out of proportion by speculations online and in the media.

According to Sani, there is currently no leadership crisis within the forum, adding that Hope Uzodimma remains the chairman, while he continues to serve as vice chairman.

The controversy started after reports emerged claiming Uzodimma had been removed as chairman following a heated meeting in Abuja. There were also rumours that Peter Mbah was being considered as a possible replacement.

Other reports further claimed that the forum had split into different camps allegedly linked to governors Dapo Abiodun and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

However, Sani dismissed the claims, saying all APC governors are united and focused on working together. He stressed that disagreements are normal in a democratic environment and should not be interpreted as a major crisis within the ruling party.

The Kaduna governor also rejected speculation about any leadership change, noting that as vice chairman, he would naturally have stepped in if Uzodimma had actually been removed.

He added that the matter has now been settled completely and expressed confidence that Nigerians would no longer hear any controversy surrounding the forum.
