#NEWS: Ademola Adeleke Honors Late Owamiran of Esa-Oke

Ademola Adeleke has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Owamiran of Esa-Oke, Oba Adeyemi Adediran, describing the monarch’s passing as a great loss to the people of Esa-Oke and the entire Osun State.

In a statement issued on Thursday through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor said the news of the monarch’s death was received with a heavy heart, noting that the royal father died in the early hours of Wednesday.

Governor Adeleke described the late Oba Adeyemi Adediran as a respected traditional ruler whose reign was defined by wisdom, peace, and commitment to the unity and development of his community and the wider Ijesa land.

He said the late monarch was a father figure who contributed significantly to the growth of traditional institutions and played a stabilising role in promoting harmony within Obokun Local Government Area and beyond.

According to him, the Owamiran’s leadership style reflected humility and dedication to service, adding that his counsel and influence would be greatly missed across Osun State.

Ademola Adeleke also extended condolences to the royal family, the people of Esa-Oke, the Obokun Traditional Council, and the entire Ijesa community, praying for the repose of the monarch’s soul and strength for those left behind.

The development comes after reports of the monarch’s declining health, which had sparked concern among residents in recent days. Tension in the community reportedly increased after a curfew was announced by the Ogboni of Esa-Oke, Chief Paul Olamiju, amid uncertainty surrounding the traditional ruler’s condition.
