Nigerian singer Asake has sparked fresh conversation online after sharing his thoughts on what makes fans either admire or take artists for granted.

The WORSHIP hitmaker suggested that an artist’s personality and public behaviour can strongly influence how they are perceived in the entertainment industry.

According to Asake, being overly accessible or humble in the public eye may sometimes lead to fans underestimating an artist, while maintaining a more private or “self-focused” image can increase admiration and demand.

He explained that fans often react differently depending on how reachable an artist appears, noting that mystery and distance can sometimes build stronger interest and respect.

Quoting his perspective, Asake said:

“If you are humble as an artist, people will take you lightly, but if you are a bit selfish and they see you are not easily available, they tend to love you more.”
