Nigerian music star Asake has once again raised the bar in the streaming era, as his latest album, M$NEY, delivered a record-breaking debut week on Spotify Nigeria.
The project has officially recorded the biggest opening week streams for any Nigerian album on the platform, marking a new milestone in the country’s music history.
According to streaming data, M$NEY pulled in an impressive 42.2 million streams within its first week, overtaking the previous record of 35.8 million set by Wizkid with his album Morayo.
The achievement further strengthens Asake’s reputation as one of Africa’s most dominant streaming artists, with the album continuing to perform strongly across charts while sparking massive conversations online since its release.
