Asake Delivers M$NEY, A Defining Fourth Studio Album

Afrobeats heavyweight Asake has officially unveiled his fourth studio album M$NEY, delivering one of the most anticipated releases of the year through GIRAN REPUBLIC and EMPIRE. The project arrives with a striking artistic statement, as its cover features a sculpted marble figure inspired by Asake himself, crafted by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar—symbolizing both his physical presence and the cultural weight he now carries on the global stage.

With M$NEY, Asake continues to cement his status as one of the defining voices in modern Afrobeats. The 13-track project opens on a powerful note, led by a live choral arrangement that immediately sets a spiritual and immersive tone. From there, the album journeys through a rich blend of sounds, merging global influences with deeply rooted African rhythms—an approach that has become a signature of his evolving artistry.

Speaking on the album, Asake describes M$NEY as a deeply personal body of work shaped by faith, growth, and lived experience. The project reflects his gratitude, his creative evolution, and his willingness to explore new sonic territories—from orchestral textures to energetic dance-driven records—while staying authentic to his core identity.

The rollout for M$NEY began back in early 2025 with “WHY LOVE,” a smooth and emotionally layered track that introduced fans to the album’s reflective side. He later expanded the narrative with “BADMAN GANGSTA,” featuring Tiakola, a genre-blending record built around a reimagined sample of Amerie’s classic “1 Thing.” The momentum continued with “WORSHIP,” a cross-continental collaboration alongside DJ Snake, which fused spiritual themes with high-energy electronic production.

Deeper into the album, Asake leans into introspection. Tracks like “GRATITUDE” explore the realities of fame, acknowledging both its blessings and pressures, while delivering a message centered on staying grounded despite public scrutiny. On “FORGIVENESS,” he turns inward, offering a reflective and emotional piece about growth, accountability, and inner peace—highlighting a more vulnerable side of his artistry.

Since breaking out in 2020, Asake has steadily risen to global prominence, pushing Afrobeats further onto the international stage. His impact is undeniable, holding the record for the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and dominating streaming platforms across Africa. M$NEY follows his successful 2025 collaborative EP REAL, Vol. 1 with fellow Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, marking yet another major chapter in his already impressive run.
